F.A.Q

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about the product, the application and the partner network. If your question is not here — write to partnerships@maistar.eu.

01What is the Brilliant + Panzer system (A + B)?

Two components of one system. Brilliant (component A) restores factory clearcoat: it bonds with the existing finish, fills damage and brings back thickness, depth and gloss. Panzer (component B) protects the result from UV, road chemicals and washes. The two components are mixed 50/50 and applied together, as a single layer.

02How is it different from polishing?

Polishing is abrasive: every pass permanently cuts away factory clearcoat. Maistar works the other way — it adds material, restoring thickness that was already lost. We measure the finish before and after application: the difference shows in microns, not in adjectives.

03How is it different from ceramic coatings and film?

Ceramic gives temporary gloss and hydrophobics; film hides the finish under plastic. Maistar restores the finish itself: the compound becomes part of the clearcoat instead of sitting on top of it. If you wish, ceramic or film can still be applied over it afterwards.

04Which finishes does it work on?

On factory clearcoats of any hardness — including soft and thin ones that forgive nothing — and on repainted panels after inspection. Studying the finish before work (thickness map, edge inspection, clearcoat test) is part of the application protocol and the training.

05How long does the result last? What warranty do you give?

The formula has been in field testing worldwide for over a year, with control measurements after one month, six months and a year. We give a warranty on both the result and its durability; the exact terms are fixed in the studio protocol for every car.

06Who is allowed to apply Maistar?

Only trained masters in accredited studios. Application is a craft: the result depends on studying the finish, on preparation and on the protocol. That is why the compounds are not sold retail — every studio on our map has passed the training and works by the protocol.

07How do I become a partner studio?

Submit an application on the Partners page: studio name, address, contacts and your website or Instagram. The application goes into the moderation queue; once confirmed you receive studio dashboard access, then the training — and your pin appears on the map.

08Is the product safe? How is it stored?

The compounds are professional chemistry: work in a ventilated space, wear gloves and eye protection, keep away from heat and open flame, store tightly closed in a cool place. Full safety data sheets (SDS) and the application protocol are available to studios in the dashboard.

09What volume and consumption per car?

Each component comes in a 1 L can. Consumption depends on the size of the car and the condition of the finish; exact figures by body type are part of the training materials and are published in the test journal as measurements accumulate.

10Something went wrong during application — what now?

You are not left alone with the problem. Reach out to us and to studios that started earlier: correction procedures for typical situations are described in the protocol, and after training every studio has a dedicated expert. The goal is to lose neither the client, nor money, nor trust.

11How do I verify a studio certificate?

Every accredited studio has a certificate with a number like MS-DE-0001. Enter the number in the verification field on the map page — you will see the studio, its address and status. Studios without a valid number are not part of the Maistar network.
